At three weeks old, Tony, Larry & Betty’s individual personalities are beginning to emerge, and we’re so excited to officially introduce them.

Kitten selection takes place at approximately 8 weeks of age, when approved waitlist families select in reservation order after having time to watch each kitten grow and develop. Two spots remain on this litter’s waitlist.

Occasionally, plans within our breeding program change, and one of our cats becomes available to a very special pet home. Lucy was originally held back from one of our own litters as a future part of the DiamondiCoons breeding program. Our plans for her have since changed, and she has now been spayed and is ready to find her forever family.

As an older kitten, Lucy is available at a reduced adoption price, making her a wonderful opportunity for a family hoping to welcome a DiamondiCoons Maine Coon without waiting for a future litter.

Choosing a Maine Coon breeder can feel overwhelming, especially if you don’t know what responsible breeding actually looks like.

At DiamondiCoons, we focus on doing things thoroughly, transparently, and with the cats’ long term health in mind. We are a small, in-home, TICA-registered cattery located in Grand Forks, British Columbia.

All of our breeding cats undergo comprehensive health testing, including genetic screening, routine PCR testing, cardiac echocardiograms, and hip evaluations. New cats entering our program follow a strict quarantine protocol to protect the health of the entire cattery.

We don’t just say we test, we openly share our results so families can make informed, confident decisions.

Our Maine Coons are known for their laid-back personalities, intelligence, and playful nature. Raised in a home environment, they grow up confident, curious, and deeply people-oriented.

Our cats also enjoy safe outdoor enrichment in our fully fenced yard & on walks in our stroller, where they experience fresh air, movement, and natural stimulation all while remaining protected.

We believe this balanced upbringing contributes to both physical health and emotional resilience.

Same from the back. VERY different from the front 😂 Larry & Betty are the perfect example of why identifying a kitten’s colour from one photo can be deceiving. From behind, these two look almost identical.. two dark little fluff balls. Then you turn them around… Larry is a black tabby, while Betty is a black silver tabby. Betty’s silver comes from the inhibitor gene, which suppresses the warm pigment at the base of the hair and gives her that much cooler, silvery appearance. Larry, on the other hand, keeps those warm brown tones, which become very obvious once you see their faces and undersides side by side. Same dad. Same mom. Same litter. Completely different little paint jobs 🙈 Which one would you have guessed was which from the back?

I genuinely couldn’t decide whether this was the sweetest thing ever… or Natasha trying to tell me I’d made the wrong call with her nest. One of my favourite parts of raising kittens is learning each queen individually. What worked perfectly for one mom isn’t automatically what another mom wants and sometimes they make their preferences VERY clear lol. Apparently Natasha’s preference is room service, followed by breakfast in bed, the only catch is she wants to enjoy it with me 😭😭🥰🥰
🥹🥹 Larry has officially figured out how to sit up like a real little cat. It sounds like such a tiny thing, but watching them go from completely helpless newborns to figuring out their bodies day by day is one of my favourite parts of raising kittens 🤍

Lucy is officially spayed and ready for her next chapter. Our girl did amazing with her surgery today! She was still pretty drugged up when we brought her home and spent a little while stumbling around like she’d had one too many 😂 She has also decided that the spay suit is absolutely NOT happening, so we’ve moved on to the donut instead 🍩. She’s settled in beautifully now and has been extra affectionate, purring away and soaking up all the attention. Once she’s recovered, Lucy will be looking for her forever home where she can live her best life as a very spoiled pet!
