Our application process helps us thoughtfully match each kitten with the right home. Before any deposit is placed, we take the time to get to know you, answer questions, and ensure our process feels like the right fit for everyone involved. We believe adopting a Maine Coon should feel exciting, informed, and supported. The application process is as follows:

1. Submit a Kitten Application
   Submitting an application allows us to learn more about you, your home, and what you’re looking for in a kitten. This step helps us ensure the best possible match for both our kittens and their future families.
2. Call or FaceTime Chat
   Before any deposit is placed, we offer a phone or FaceTime call to answer questions, walk through our process, and make sure expectations are aligned.
3. Review & Approval
   Once we feel a mutual fit has been established, we’ll invite you to move forward with a reservation or waitlist placement when appropriate.

We add kittens to our website once they reach three weeks of age. Each kitten’s page will clearly state the date and time that reservations will open. Families on our waitlist receive first priority when reservations open. Any remaining kittens are then made available on a first-come, first-served basis to approved families.

Because our breeding program is intentionally small and carefully planned, availability is limited and varies throughout the year.

All DiamondiCoons kittens receive comprehensive veterinary care before going home. Our kittens are:

• Spayed or neutered at approximately 14 weeks of age, allowing time to heal before transitioning to their new homes
• Vaccinated with two rounds of core vaccines, including rabies
• Microchipped
• Dewormed only when necessary
  

  We do not administer deworming medication routinely “just in case.” Our cattery has consistently tested negative for intestinal parasites, and we rely on laboratory testing and seasonal risk assessment before treating. If testing indicates treatment is needed, kittens will be dewormed appropriately.

• Given a full veterinary health check prior to go-home

Because our kittens go home fully altered and up to date on care, families do not need to schedule additional routine veterinary procedures. We simply require a wellness check with your veterinarian within 72 hours of go-home, as outlined in our Sales Agreement.

Each DiamondiCoons kitten goes home with a thoughtfully curated care package, including:

• A custom DiamondiCoons health record booklet with milestone weights, vaccine records, and care information
• TICA registration paperwork
• Printed pedigrees for both parents
• All veterinary records
• 30 days of complimentary Trupanion insurance coverage
• A Purina Pro Plan starter kit, including:
  

  Dry and wet kitten food
  FortiFlora probiotic supplements
  A $10 coupon toward your next bag

• Our favorite nail clippers, brush, and toothbrush
• A DiamondiCoons custom feather wand toy
• Your kitten’s favourite toys
• A blanket with mom and littermates’ scent

This is one of our favourite parts of the process, sending kittens home fully prepared and supported.
