Demmy was my absolute dream girl.. a breathtaking smoke beauty with a personality as sweet as her face. She loved being held, would knead the air with her paws while purring, and talked back every time you said her name. With her long, elegant tail and beautiful type, she had everything I’d ever wanted in a Maine Coon.

Sadly, Demmy didn’t pass our rigorous 6-week quarantine and testing protocol after her import. Her results revealed several serious infections that made her unfit for cattery life & breeding. While her time with us was short, she reminded us why our health standards are so uncompromising and why we test everything, no matter how promising the pictures look.

Our quarantines are no joke, they’re in a completely separate location, and yes, we show up in full hazmat suits: booties, gloves, hood, the whole thing. It’s giving “CSI: Cattery Edition,” but it keeps everyone safe and healthy.

Demmy will always have a special place in our hearts for her sweetness, her voice, and her perfect grey (blue) glow. She’s a great example for why we’ll never cut corners when it comes to transparency, testing and trust.
